Photo shows a new board with about 5/16" crown
A beautiful new soundboard with excellent crown. This is the way it should be. The straight edge shows about 5/16" of crown. This crowning is what allows the soundboard to push against the down pressure exerted by the strings. This is essential for proper tone.
